Learner Band

Our Learner Band is currently in a state of flux, due to the appointment of our new MD, John Grinnell. More details to follow as soon as they’re available. In the meantime, if you are interested in learning a new instrument or brushing off you old skills, do get in touch

We need a conductor who can take the learners from 6.30 to 7.20pm on Thursdays to bring new players on.  Part of the reason we have only a few learners is because they have moved on to senior band.  When we are up and running again we will take  learners of all ages (from about 8 to … mature adults!) If you want to learn an instrument come and see us and we can help with advice on tuition etc.

We are always keen to welcome new players, whether you are a complete beginner or maybe someone keen to return to playing after a long break, or keen to try playing a new instrument.  We can provide instruments, tuition and lots of moral support.  And we also have a lot of fun!

We play in a couple of concerts per year, sometimes alongside the Senior Band and we award  prizes each year for  improvement and dedication.

If you’d like more information about joining Cawthorne’s Learner Band, please fill in our contact us form or contact us via Facebook.
